The Canadian Centre for the Study of Resource Conflict is an applied-research driven centre specializing in the analysis of natural resource based conflict, seeking to alleviate violence by engaging stakeholders, undertaking research, and disseminating information with regard to the effect and influence of natural resources in violent conflict.

Purpose Statement:

• Undertake and publish grassroots research
• Foster understanding of the relationship between resources and conflict
• Engage stakeholders (multi-national corporations, government, civil society and academics) in discussion.
• Act as a literature and research repository for documents related to resource
conflict.
• Policy advocation through research and advisory
